Why I'm Running

I am running to be your next Member of Parliament because I care deeply about our community and want to help the people in it. Born and raised in Nepean, I understand the issues we face. I know how hard it is to get ahead, and what it’s like to live so close to Parliament Hill and yet have it feel so far away because politicians are disconnected from the realities of everyday Canadians. With both public and private sector experience, I am ready to tackle our community’s challenges and get results. Nepean needs a fresh voice. I am running to be that voice – your voice – so everyone in Nepean can get ahead, not just get by.

I love Nepean. It is where I grew up, where my parents and most of my friends and family live, and where I am raising my own family.

Every day when I am out campaigning, I meet someone with whom I share a common bond—be it one of their family members or friends, someone who I attended school with, or someone who was involved with the same football, hockey, lacrosse, or baseball teams I was on.

I am passionate about Nepean and the people in it. I want to fight for change that reflects many of the values that we share.

Values such as:

• Hard work should be rewarded.

• Family and community must always come before big government.

• Small business and entrepreneurship should be encouraged.

• Freedom of thought, speech, and conscience must always be defended.

• And most of all, decisions should be grounded in the realities of Canadian families.

I want to offer a modern, pragmatic, conservative option to voters in Nepean. Canada can’t afford four more years of uncontrolled and irresponsible Liberal spending.

It’s time for new ideas and new energy. And it’s time for a government that will say what it is going to do, and then do it. No more spin and nonsense.

As your MP, I will focus on the issues that matter to you and your family – the issues I hear at the door every day.

Nepean deserves results, not empty rhetoric or virtue signalling.

Politics is about standing up for your community and what you believe in, and then being able to fulfill your commitments after the election.

I am running to do just that.
